Kilifi is a resort town on the north side of Kilifi Creek , some 58kms north of Mombasa.
The resort aspect is yet to be developed and, although there are currently three small hotels, the town, the creek and the beaches are far from crowded.
Of historical interest are the Mnarani ruins, dating back to the 14th Century.
The creek is ideal for watersports whatever the state of the tide, and Bofa Beach to the north of the creek mouth is said to be one of the best beaches in Kenya.
Kilifi is served by Vipingo, Malindi or Mombasa Airport
